Eleanor

Being on the autistic spectrum, I find that art helps me to communicate. After years of suffering from depression and struggling to fit into the world, I conceived the idea of conceptualising how we compartmentalise aspects of ourselves. Therefore, I set about designing a box for the Turn the Page Artist Book Fair to share my inner self, make sense of it and connect with others.

The Lino prints I created are intended to remind us that we are okay as we are. I have printed the things that personally make me smile - interestingly this is nature, which in itself is chaotic. But it brings me peace and facilitates learning. I also love... spirals, patterns, bubble wrap and spinning tops.
